That's great!

Did you include the revised Length, Depth and Height figures into the .CFG files or just the images? I am hoping they will make a big difference to accuracy in manual firing solutions.

There are some "misc" vessels that I missed from the first two passes of Merchants which will include NLL, NOTMs_, NPS_Tyohei, NTR, NVV, NVV2, T07B and T07US. I will get round to those immediately after the Liners. Once those are all done it will be into the Warships but they will take longer because of all the different guns.

Just the images at the moment, but now you mention the .cfg files I'll get them done as well. .CFG files all done and I've also prepared a copy of the sea folder for any future amendments.

Thanks to VonDos for helping me understand the "dynamic models" for several of the famous Liners.

I will be working on the last few freighters and a bunch of tankers I found then it will be on to the warships.

I'm gonna test these liners out if I can find one, I hope I can snag me a large ocean liner as I saw one in the China sea on the last mission.

Be sure to make visual contact though as some are in use as Hospital ships.

Build yourself a quick test mission Moonlight. The Hospital ships do sink, and we think we may have found some intention in the original mod for them to sink more easily than their "sister" ships. More changes are forthcoming in the next release... lol

Excellent work DanielCoffey, if I haven't mentioned it a half-dozen times yet. You are really talented at this. As to the "changes" statement above - no ship sil changes will be needed... yet.

Aaaah Mr beanie, how do I make sure its an hospital ship I'm gonna sink, test mission is producing a Large Ocean Liner but not the hospital variety.

Look in the Red Cross Roster when in the Mission Editor, and choose "Hospital Ship" (or any other ship you want). The "Hospital Ship" is the same thing as the Japanese NPL_Hap, and is listed in the Japanese Roster as "Troopship Modern Class". The "Large Ocean Liner" is the NTUS_ and it takes several torpedoes to sink, sometimes more than six...

I have a question about Blender that I would really appreciate some help with.

I have imported the OBJ parts of the W-19 vessel and the hull (and only the hull) is extremely dark in Blender. It looks fine in S3D and shows all parts at an equal brightness but in Blender the hull is dark but the guns, boats and forward mast are normal.

The model in S3D is made up of hull+rear mast, 4x boats, guns, funnel and forward mast.

I have added a temporary spotlight to the scene and I can see there is definitely texture on the W-19 hull while everything else is very bright.

I don't know if I have nudged something in Blender to do with that OBJ but even when reimporting the hull it is the same. All camera angles are affected.

What should I check first?

BLENDER FILE : http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/sile...er4/W-19.blend

EDIT : It may be the object in S3D. Importing it into an empty blender file shows the behaviour only on the hull object. Re-exporting the hull from S3D shows the same behaviour. It is Node:2 3D model. Any ideas?

Did you get the W-19 looking the way you want?

No - when looking at the hull OBJ in Blender there seems to be a black skin on it over the real texture. There is some visible z-fighting at the bow where the real paint "shows through".

In addition, the skin also covers where the funnel would be despite there being a separate funnel object. I can move the real funnel out of the way and the black layer still shows where it was.

For now I have just made a 100% black silhouette.

Id' like to fix it of course but I didn't want it to hold up releasing the big bunch of misc ships.

Next... CVs.
