Yep, pulled the rotors to pieces a few times as well. Even one of the wingmen managed it once. :rotfl:

I need more trimming and to control my landings. This bird does not like a rough touchdown. I thought I would manage to eject and escape with my chute down on the other side of the mighty dam at the reservoir , but it seems I hit the concrete instead.

Try to autorotate landing...:rotfl:

I fugured out auto hovering... get slow, leveled, press T, and then t Alt (left Alt)

Yep, you need to be trimmed for near-hover before you engage auto-hover. The AP can only use 20% input, so if the trim is way of, it can't provide enough correction to maintain it.

Auto-rotate... tried that few times, not too succesfull.

I myself dont land that way. I land like a airplane... lineup with the runway... and decrese power till I can touchdown and stop.

Or on a FARP for that matter.

Rolling touchdown is preferable though.

And remember; lateral speed kills.
