Default Fubar mission from comsubpac

I was told to evacuate some personnel from Philippines then proceed to Subayan. But Subayan is currently under Japanese control. So I am supposed to pick them up and send them to Japanese POW camp?

In the game, as in real life, you have to pay attention to the other radio messages you might receive as you travel. This includes stock as well as modded. The game will not stop gameplay to display a message for you, only bring you back to 1x Time Compression when one arrives, when it then notifies you via the message box. So what happens, is you receive orders to pick-up personnel from where ever on say January 20th, and deliver them to Surabaya. On February 28th, as you are enroute "home", Java is invaded and all non-essential personnel are evacuated to various locations in Australia, which renders the Surabaya base untenable. Your "home port" moves to Fremantle / Perth, Australia. With that, your orders are basically counter-manded, though there is too much going on at the time, and all you receive is a radio message moving your base of operations. You are lucky if you get that. It is skipper prerogative if he wishes to spend the war in captivity by going to Surabaya, but all documents and equipment must be destroyed first, rendering them useless to the enemy, prior to the delivery of your passengers. This should be a deep-water scuttling, in other words. Do you have enough rubber rafts to hold the crew and your passengers? Highly unlikely... It behooves the skipper to take it upon his own initiative to take his passengers safely to "home port" of Fremantle if Surabaya has been compromised. Do be careful of the potential mining of the straits enroute...
