Icon9 Editing/Importing Ship Models?

Greetings,

So I've been playing this game for a while and always wondered if it's possible to import/replace ship models for Silent Hunter 4. I am also wondering what and if there is any kind of software which allows to fully edit the ship models. For example, I use to create ships for s game called Virtual Sailor 7 using a program called Deep Exploration and Sketch-up. I hope my request isn't to "difficult" to understand.

Many Thanks,
MourningDead

All you should need is S3D to import/export the models from the game files and that can be found here on Subsim. Also a 3d program like Blender or Wings 3D, something that can handle .obj files.
