Default Tech help

Hello all. I'm having a few tech issues with the game, wonder if someone can help me out. I'll try to be as descriptive as possible

I'm playing the game via Steam and every so often my saves won't load, I'll verify integrity of game files via Steam client, it will say some files need to be acquired but they always acquire and my saves are fine but I'm wondering what does this? Is it something I'm doing or is it just being an older game sometimes this happens?

Also sometimes the game crashes to desktop, has happened twice in the last two weeks.

Here's some of my system specs if that helps:

CPU
Intel Core i7 6700 @ 3.40GHz
Skylake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1063MHz (15-15-15-36)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H110M-E (LGA1151)
Graphics
G246HL (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (ASUStek Computer Inc)

hello liam,

into which folder did you install SH4? if you installed it into the default folder you will need to de-install that copy and re-install into a different folder. Theberbster has a link here with some tips on Steam installations.

good luck!

I had it on my Steam folder with my other games on Steam, but then when I got an SSD. I reinstalled the game onto there.

I'll look at that link you posted and let you know how I go
