First time an AI sub went active on me!
Well, that's never happened!
Hunting an LA Flt 1 in a Victor III, creeping along at 2 kts, above the layer - he pinged me with active sonar! Whoa! I pinged back, but couldn't detect him, fired a Shkval and 3 USET-80s along the bearing before evading - the Shkval and 2 USETs hit! A good (and surprising) stoush - going from quiet boredom to pushing buttons everywhere! His 3 Adcaps successfully evaded! Looking at the replay, he fired from 4.4 NM Stew

Yes, that is indeed weird to get pinged from an American sub unprovoked haha.

That's interesting.
Are you sure you didn't accidently hit ping first? I know in RA, whenever I ping the AI Sub, they will return a ping |

Saw this today myself. AI akula, pinged once and then immediately fired.
It seems the AI sub commanders in RA have learned some new tactics!
