Biggest impact on FPS are super-sampling (turn that off, you don't want it) and vegetation dithering (turn that on). Forests look... well, dithered, but it went from slideshow to 40-60 by toggling that.

How do you engage the Bristols in an Albatros? I had three encounters with them so far: 1 where I couldn't catch it as it is significantly faster than the Albartos and two more that left me crawling back to my base because of injury because the bloody rear gunner had a field day with my slow Albatros in a turnfight.

A Formation? Blasphemy!!

Heading for the front.

Gah, the formation flying, it burns!

And today:

And Hunter takes off perfectly...

So I did the necessary restart procedure.

And Arc joined in...

Great Success!

That joke will haunt me forever! Good thing I laugh at it

When attacking Bristfits, try and come from below, the gunner can't really aim that low.

Thanks, I thought so but with the inability of the WWI birds to raise their noses I find it pretty difficult to attack from below...

BTW did anybody else notice a very odd crediting system in the game in career mode? I often don't get credited for my victories. I just shot down a Nieuport and the debriefing screen said I didn't destroy anything....also noticed that with balloons too.

I've noticed this once. Brought down a Camel in one pass, was mighty proud of it too! Dunno why I didn't get the kill credit. Could be the same they have in OFF; that someone has to see it, but if this is the case, then they are very subtle with it, because there is no mention of such a system

Have to say 777 has done wonders with the optimization of ROF. My old-ish rig can run it with everything turned on/maxed out with the exception of dither.
I only have ~20fps, yet the game is very well playable.

It does work a treat, had to turn it down for hosting though. Maybe it's the non-default skins, dunno, but always take a hit online.
