Default missing or corrupted Shoho graphic

so, there i was in the middle of a fur ball, attacking a TF, when i noticed that the CVE Shoho's kept disappearing off the Nav screen when we were submerged. i know she was in range but the icon would disappear.
by chance, when a Shoho icon was present, i selected it and zoomed in and poof it disappeared however i still had it selected.
being the genius that i am i figured that the graphic representing that particular ship class was either missing or corrupted.
the trick now is in determining which file in the \Data\Sea\NCVE Shoho is the correct file.

Are you referring to the ShipName_shp.dds file?

Ehhh... sometimes the program used to open a file is the problem when trying to see those type of files. You are dealing with a small, transparency alpha with minimal "artwork" for the outline of the ship. Try Paint.net and see if you can zoom in on what you are looking at. The game also uses those little "square" dealies that are in the Data Menu Gui Units folder - I think I listed the correct one... The shp file is for when you zoom way in... I think. I do not have my notes in front of me here. sorry.

don't know what Paint.net is but GIMP 2.10 can open DDS files.
even having done that now, i am not sure what it is that i am looking at.

i think i am going to borrow the corresponding file from a similar ship and move on.

thank you for the hints/help.

Default Greatly Decreased Traffic Volume

Driving a Gar out of Brisbane, September-October 1943.
Convoy Traffic has dropped off the map.
Prior to this time there is regular traffic in/out of Rabaul and Truk and PNG and now...nothing. Or very little.
i've checked the Campaign file and there is a fair amount of convoys that are valid until the end of the war, which leads me to a Mission Editor/RGG question:

Question:
Say an RGG is defined as being available from 1/1/1942 through 12/31/45 with a Repeat Interval of 7 days and a MaxInstances of 100.
Would that mean that the RGG would stop generating itself after 23 months (eff Nov 1944)?
100 times 7 days = 700 days duration / 30 days per month = approx 23 months or from January 1942 through November 1944.
