Default CTD on Career Start

Been away for a long time but have just DL'd SH3 from steam and patched to the GW3. I can run training mode fine but whenever I try to start a career I load to about 85% and then CTD. I have tried the 4GB memory patch and gone into JSGME and pretty much shut everything down.

I'm running W10 on a machine with plenty of HP. Im sure its some simple user error but this user could use some help.

Thanks in advance

If you have disabled mods in JSGME then it is often necessary to start an entirely new campaign profile. It depends on if the mods made gameplay related changes or only cosmetic interface graphics. Crashes are most common when the campaign profile and savegame is loaded that does not match with the unit and U-boat databases and model files, campaign scripts, etc.

So see if it starts working again with a brand new commander profile.

I went for the tried and true method of a reinstall and I'm in business now. I have different issues mostly from being away for so long but I can hit the high seas in career mode now.
