Default Number of days in base with CCoM

Hi Guys,

I run into the problem, that when playing CCoM10, I can not use the SH3_Cmdr option of selecting the "Number of days in base".

It doesn't seem to work, no matter if I'm in the home base or another base, i.e., I'm always stuck with the pre-set of 28, 21 or whatever days CCoM has set on the given year.

Any idea how to fix this?

Basic.cfg has the number of days spent in base.
No idea why Commander is not adjusting them.
Unless you need a special Commander file for Ccom like GWX needs.

SH3Comm has the following in the SH3 Options.cfg file :

;This file contains the parameters used by certain options available on the SH3
;Commander "SH3 Options" screen.
;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

;----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[REALISTICLENGTH] ;TURN FEATURE ON/OFF FROM WITHIN SH3 COMMANDER
;"Simulate a realistic career length" option
;RANGE=<random number range>
;<PatCmpltdxDaysAtSea>=<RndVals> (between 0 and RANGE - 1)
;where N = nil and RndVals are separated by commas
;List must be in ascending order and start with 0
RANGE=6
0=N
301=0
1001=0,1
2201=0,1,2
4001=0,1,2,3
6501=0,1,2,3,4

;----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[REALISTICCREWXFR] ;TURN FEATURE ON/OFF FROM WITHIN SH3 COMMANDER
;"Simulate realistic crew transfers" option
;RANGE=<random number range>
;Officer, PettyOfficer and Seaman values must be between 0 and RANGE - 1, or N for nil
RANGE=10
Officer=3
PettyOfficer=4,5
Seaman=6,7,8

;----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[RNDDAYSINBASE] ;TURN FEATURE ON/OFF FROM WITHIN SH3 COMMANDER
;"Randomise number of days spent in base" option
;YEAR=<MinDaysInBase>|<MaxDaysInBase>
1939=5|30
1940=5|45
1941=10|50
1942=15|55
1943=20|60
1944=25|65
1945=25|65

You should be able to adjust the min/max, as it may help.

Good hunting,

Hi FUBAR295,

Thanks for this!

Even with these values, the days in base seem to be fixed, according to the CCoM Manual, e.g., 21 days in 1939, 28 days in 1940 and so on ... Meaning, that even with the Randomize Option selected in Sh3_Cmdr, it always stays with these fixed number of days in base, i.e., the randomize options seems to be disabled by default ...

So, if I want to change, for example, the "Days in Base" in 1940, from min. 1 day to max. 2 days, I would change as following:

1940=1|2 ?

And does this only apply for the home base or also for another base?

Thanks!

Hi FUBAR295,

Thanks again!

Just to complete the picture:

In the h.sie Mod, the U-Tanker option can be used with "milk cows" and supply ships, that have a "U-" in front of its name, e.g., U-Bessel.

Can this U-Tanker option also be applied to bases/harbours by adding a "U-" in front of its name, e.g., U-Bergen?

Hello Kapitän
A specialty in CcoM is not the SH3 option.cfg but the Randomized events.cfg

Note my answer to Tipperary in the DMP forum

Hi La vache,

I found this: "Randomised events.cfg im Commander Ordner den Abschnitt Hafenliegezeit löschen."

Just to be clear: Where do I find this folder? In the CCoM/Sh3 game folder or in the Sh3 Cmdr Program folder?

And the name in english is still "Number of days in base"?

Unfortunately, I do not know the correct answer. It may only apply to ships and not bases. I can only suggest trying it and see if it works.

It's in the "Randomised events.cfg" file, yes?
