260 meters was possible. Even more.

Looking at the code file does not give you any measure of actual in-game performance. (The same is also true for MANY elements in SH3.)

Furthermore, the original poster lists unofficial mods made externally for GWX that alter the player U-boat damage profile. I suspect that it may also alter the damage profile of every U-boat in SH3/GWX.

Will test the IXD2 later with clean copy of GWX.

For the moment, I seriously doubt that it is caused by GWX itself.

Test completed. (I'll not post exact crush depths so I don't spoil it for anyone.)

Though I will say that if you try for 375 meters depth in game... yer gonna die.

I may change the CD again too, just to keep everyone guessing.

Current crush depth is fine as is too.

Well, can we get a listing of what the 'official theoretical' CD is?

Or was that in the manual and I missed it?

Great manual btw, I learned a lot going through that.

My vast experience shows that the U-Boats go all the way to the Bottom!
You just don't live to see it.

The reason I've made the Thomsen's Dials Mod is exactly the crush depths.

I was sick of being to pass 260 meters (for a small margin) and see that needle get stucked in 258 meters (look close and you'll see that its not even 260).

Im my mod the needle goes up to 315 meters, near the zero mark (complete turn), just like it was in real uboats. I will not spoil the fun telling how far can you go, but I'd say I've gone beyond 260 meters in some rare occasions with the types IX without breaking a sweat. Well, not actually withou breaking a sweat, coz those cranks and the tension is pretty high.

And dude, throw away that No instant deathscreen 1.1. Lots of bugs. There's a version 1.2 in my FF page.
