Default Remove automatic distance on the map

Hi,
I would like to remove the automatic distance display on the navigation map when I draw a line.

I would like there to be just one line and nothing else.

Can someone tell me in which file I can find this in order to modify, I've been looking for several days but I can't find it.

i am not sure that what you are seeking can be done.
can i ask why you would use the ruler-tool to draw a line and not want the distance measured by the ruler-tool?

Of course you can ask!

Because I want more realism, so i modify a lot of things, and I put a triangle as well as a "Cras ruler", these 2 tools being equipped with a ruler, (nautic and centimeter) that I scaled, it It's terribly frustrating to have a detailed distance that magically appears...completely...it's not immersive at all.

That's why for several days I've been trying tirelessly to find where this unfortunate file is.

you can see here my frustration :

then, use the protractor tool. it takes an extra click, but you can draw a straight line without any measurement.

It's certain... but the problem of angle is the same problem as distance. Navigation tools are of no use if magic displays angles or distances... If I solve the problem of the magic distance, I would necessarily find the problem of the magic angle, and also the problem of the compass... If anyone has an idea of the file concerning, it would be of great, very great help to me!

It's a horror !

I spent several days to find out how I could solve this totally anti-immersive "magic" measurement problem concerning navigation.

Unfortunately I can now only rely on the subsim forum and wait for a charitable soul...

If you really want realism, you could just draw everything on a blank paper with your own tools... I used to do that untill I got too old.

It needs a lot of space to work on your table next to your computer but that's just the best. I even use a external attack disc.
One of the best I found was released for Ipad : "Sub Buddy"

ps : As a side note, I was faster to find target solution with my own drawings than using the ingame navigation tools. It was so annoying by a lots of little things. Few exemples. You start to draw a perfect line at 90 degrees, and if you are like me and love accuracy, it takes a long time hehe. Then suddenly the auto-save pops up and **** everything ...
Another one. You draw your solution to target, like distance and bearing at 3'15sec interval to plot the target course and speed., each time you open again your map it slides away to an unknown position and you spend 10sec just to refocus on your marks....
I could give you a lot of annoying things with ingame nav map...
Trust me I was way faster with real paper and good old tools...
