You can read here http://www.uboat.net/types/viic-41.html or here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Type_VII_submarine

Basically, it's the same boat with a stronger pressure hull, and a little lighter in weight.

Default Excused !!

Excused guys that so much interest is there, but I'm just too busy
With the IIA / B torpedo room.
And what concerns me most is make sure I do not master the animation.
I pity that the moment for this project does not have time.
At any rate here is still done, not just at the moment.

I don't know how Tomi feels.
But I can tell you from past experiences.

Privateer,
It is disheartening that GWX still think and operate this way.

I am certain that NYGM, GWX, Insert Lots of Other Modder names Here would all feel justified in belting out a rendition of the 'Somebody did somebody wrong song' with feeling... Surely at some time this must become history?

I had hoped that GWX, like myself, NYGM, RFB, Trigger Maru, S3D, Insert Lots of Other Modder names Here would have recognised the benefits and followed the example of the open moding as is being done by those who participate at the Submarine Sim Central forums. Where we mod publicly so as to share our knowledge so that other moders other than ourselves can not only know what is being done by how and why.

It is the view of myself, NYGM, RFB, Trigger Maru, S3D and the other modders at the Submarine Sim Central forums and I am certain here that by sharing information with the community it allows new and potential moders to contribute and that the more minds we can bring to the table the more that can be acheived either by the shear number of projects and/or from people takling the same issue from a different angle.

GWX must be able to recognise that open moding helps the community produce more mods and hopefully better mods and that by with holding knowledge, tools and failing to share GWX are dis-empowering the moding community.

I am sure that GWX have benefited by the openness at the Submarine Sim Central forums.

One need not look any futher than how much has been achieved by S3D because of the hard work and generosity of skwas.

It saddens me to read that you hold "The Community" as you put it, in such contempt and have only thrown a flimsy veil over the accusation that the "The Community" is nothing more than a bunch of thieving bastards and glory hunters.

Pt-t-t-t-t-!!!! Too many people know who is on this project. How is anyone going to steal the credit? This thing has Tomi's fingerprints all over it and they're not coming off. I just don't understand that kind of unsupported allegation at all. The only possible effect of saying it could be for Tomi to lose heart and quit making the mod. I can't believe that's what anyone wants.

Press on Tomi! Anybody trying to use this thing as their own creation will deal with dozens of people with all kinds of affiliations from U-Boats to fleet boats. They'd have Kapt Lehmann and myself on the same team, beating on their head with a couple of your animated chains. Would that be a sight to remember or what?:rotfl:

I think authors should embed ID somewhere in their work, along with a date. Also the thread itself is evidence of where the boat came from. I don't see how anyone could successfully take credit for Tomi's work here.

Mr. bear,

You never miss the chance to bash the GW people do you?
Instead of addressing me directly?
You launch into a great ramble against them.
You have proven you have an agenda against The GW Team.
Am I suppost to be amazed?
My post was personal in nature.
Your post was nothing but an attack on The GW Team.
Have you ever PMed me to ask for a more detail explaination?

RR,

unsupported allegation?
I'd have thought you would be more educated on this subject.

Where did the Smoke mod for Subs start?
And that is just one example.
And NO!
The security is still laughable.

We all state our opinions.
We are all intitled to them.

But we all know the saying about opinions.

Privateer,
I am obviously mistaken in my belief that you were the head huncho of GWX and had presumed that you were speaking as such, I apologise for that error.

Please also forgive me for not knowing when you are speaking for yourself on a personal level and when you are speaking as a GWX team member, I can only presume that I would not be the only one. Or at least I hope so.

I apologise to GWX for any perceived insult, but I after removing the first line I stand by the comments.

You were as I read it trying to convince Tomi from releasing the unfinished and from what I understand to now be orphaned work to the community to be finished.

I hope that you can understand and can forgive why I would have thought that you were only doing this so that GWX could keep this as propriety work as they have done so often in the past, not meant as fighting words, just stating the facts.

I will not edit the post so that there is no confusion as to who said what, so feel free to re-read my post and substitute Privateer for GWX and if you so wish to respond to what I have said.

I did not PM you regarding you post as I fail to see what I would have PM'd you about.

I would however invite you to PM me to discuss the specifics of what brought about your initial post in the hope that we can put this behind us and forge a new future where the animosity of the past can be laid to rest and we can all can mod for the community respecting each others work.

If it's interesting to someone, i can upload it on my FileFront page ...

P.S.
It will be removed after 3... 5 days
I think when tomi made the model he used the actual blueprints of the VIIC as reference.

could anyone use the modell that Anvart posted?
it looks excellent and could be a milestone of the VIIC class.

it could be used with opsmons so that lurker has a great base for his mod
