Default IGMP error

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IGMP

Just check your firewall settings.
Allow all incoming an outgoing connections for dangerouswaters.exe

umm I block IGMP request but allow UDP packet.

Why does a game would require IGMP request? It's usually either UDP or TCP packet request.

And it asked for IGMP connection while I wasn't even playing multiplayer or opening a multiplayer menu.

Its a part of IP multicast and analog to ICMP unicast (Ping).
This protocol manage IP groups. I think its necessary for "multistation gameplay".

Umm okay it was just so weird since it was asking for IGMP connection while I was playing single player

Check firewall setting first and allow incoming UDP and TCP
packet and seems like IGMP too.

Then check the adapter or something which is called that way in the game directory. It supposed to set it to your correct internet connection and make sure it does and not some other such as some tunneling software or peer to peer connection.

Yes the same check firewall setting first make sure it's not blocking DW.

if problem still persists check adapter file in game directory

I'm having very little success tracking in the Seawolf (connecticut) whereas in the original game I had players pinned down from the beginning.
I did everything I could once in manouvers and just couldn't pick up a AKULAII(i) that was 5nm away, even when it started running 20kts. Maybe it's a curse on the connecticut I I had a little better success using the SSN21 SW.

Has sonar range been somewhat decreased?

Thanks

You're doing something very wrong by not being able to detect an Akula II at close range 5nm at low speed, let alone at 20 frickkin' knots.
The Seawolf (wether the Connecticut or the first model) has an excellent towed array. Damn, you can track the Akula even if he was over the layer and you were under at such close range.

What i find so far is that the sonar is much more depth sensitive and weaker than it was before in the stock game. I'm learning to track people in RA now but the sonar range has much been decreased in my experience.

If i track someone using the akula now I know that he can't be further away than about 6,8nm. With the seawolf it's around 9nm.

You should support speed not less than 6 kts - differently Towed Array has intention to be immersed DOWNWARDS.

Probably Towed Array is immersed under a layer (if speed less than 6 kts) - and then you lose a trace.

Also doctrines RA prevent a submarine from cavitation.
Akula can run in 20 kts, but will take depth safe for occurrence cavitation.

If there is no threat of torpedo attack - then the Submarine all time will abstain from to do cavitation.

AI of submarines in -RA-, now rather clever.

And now - all depends on speed - than less speed, the less noise.

Very impressive work guys - got me playing DW again (the manual has been on my shelf for years now as reminder to check before I buy!).

Playing the RA modified Red Storm Rising campaign and I'm stuck on the 2nd mission. Whats the battery life of a Foxtrot? The one I've been chasing for about 3 hours now is doing 18knots (at 800 feet so he doesn't cavitate - clever SOB), when can I expect him to exhaust his battery and surface so I can proceed to the next mission? I know the Type XX1 could go about 4hrs before it need to recharge, is this similar for the foxtrot?

I am using 7 zip to unzip Rar files and ran a test Archive on the rar files
