Default Getting rid of the CCCP banner in the Kilo Sonar Room?

G'day fellas,

Sorry to bother, quick question - is it possible to 'patch over' the Pr 636 Kilo sonar station (with no CCCP banner) to the Pr 877 Kilo sonar station (with the CCCP banner) on the Russian Kilo?

I know the banner's an attempt at authenticity - but I think it's a little lame.

I don't think it's just a simple copy/paste of the files - but I know people have edited the stations before (such as the 'red' 688 stations).

Could you provide 'instructions for dummies' on how to do it, please?

Thanks guys,
Stew

Thanks P7 - I had look on the Downloads page, but I couldn't see your Mod.

I found a couple of others though (Cyrillic panels for Kilo and Akula) so I'll check them out.

Thanks for your help, mate.

Just an update guys - I found the BB sonar station under Dangerous Waters\interfaces\Kilo using the 'decompress' program and .bat.

...but it's the 'Kilo Improved' station (without the CCCP banner)

Do you know where in the DW files is the RA Pr 877 'Kilo 1' BB sonar station (with the banner)?

I (think) I know how to use cmputil to get the 'non-banner' station working if I could find that BB station .ndx (it's not in Interfaces\NON_NUKE_SUB as far as I can tell)

Thanks for your help, guys,
Stew

**EDIT**

Got it fixed guys! Turns out the Kilo 1 bb station is also used by the Alfa.

So with a bit of trial and error (it wasn't the Victor 1/2 sonar station), I got it to work - no more banner!

Thanks for your help, P7!

Kilo improved uses RED sonar but Kilo 877 green one. Im not sure changing interface graphic will only change background or background+sonar color.

Decompress allows you to extract backgrounds from .grp files (if i remember correctly) but there are many sprites for every button/knob.

Of course my screen was joke.

Ahh, yes, I see that now.

At the moment, I have red numbers and a green display.
I'll have a play with my trusty paint program to see if I can get around that.
