Default Egyptian Desert Kittyhawk

Quote:
In March 2012, a Polish Oil Exploration team driving near remote Wadi al-Jadid in Egypt came across a P40 "Kittyhawk" lying untouched since making a crashing during the North African battles of WW2.

She seems in pretty good shape for the amount of time the desert had time to work on her.

Dry desert air is very good at preserving things, the only problems are being buried by sand and getting it sand-blasted. Wonder if she's salvagable?

I just got home and that was the first thing I read when I got online.
Judging by the photos in the msn artical I read, and the vid and pic that Hunter posted the aircraft looks in remarkably good condition. I would think and hope that it can be salvaged and restored.
