Icon9 SH3 Running 1080P in 1024 x 768 Window

I've tried to follow instructions to reinstall SH3 (Steam) on a new (used) notebook computer and finally seen some success using resolution fix and JSGME. However, it appears that SH3 will not escape the 1024 x 768 menu window that opens up at start. I've checked all the config files and they are set at the monitor resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Any idea what could be going on. I see the menu in high resolution but I can't scroll to the options setting as the menu is truncated to see what settings are there. Changing the monitor resolution to 1024 x 768 allows me to set and save "Full Screen" but, when I revert to the 1080P settings, the program appears stuck in the 1024 x 768 window :-(

Very frustrating...

Any advice from a more season submariner is appreciated.

So if I'm understanding you correctly, you aren't using Ahnenerbes GUI or any other 1920*1080 GUI? If not then no wonder it's not working. You need one of those for playing SH3 in 1080p (yes, the game is THIS old). Forget about the resolution fix. Search for ARB GUI, follow the installation instructions and then you get the higher resolution.

Can you tell me where the directories and files go once the ARB GUI is unpacked?

Also, don't forget to apply the 4GB patch to your sh3.exe or the game will crash to desktop.
