question : Replay format file

Does anybody know the format of a record in a replay file or is it still unknow, if not I will try to make a tools to display and extract usefull information.

Noone seems to have reverse engineered it yet - but I think the solution might be as simple as sending an email asking.

I remember someone from SCS saying they're working on a replay viewer for DW. It'll probably be out for the next patch.

I know that but if we could have access to the replay as data it could be very usefull for debrief.

S.C.S. is working on a Replayviewer based on the old SC Standalone Viewer, however it takes some work, because the code for the replay (according to Jamie) is quite different.

Hello Guys,
I know this is an old SORE subject. The replay really really needs to be addressed. I like the simulation, and the mods you guys suggested are very good ideas. I would pay for an expansion pack that would include some of these mods, only if there was a way to make the replay, like a movie you could watch FULL SCREEN. For example, leave the graphics in game as they are. Play the game, in full realism, or with whatever settings. Use a program that would record the movements of the actual or "TRUTH," entities, then when you finish your game, instead of the ingame replay, use the MOVIE quality replay. THIS by itself, I would pay the price of an expansion pack. Sort of like watching Crimson Tide, Hunt for Red October, etc. GOOD LUCK! I know it wont happen, but I like to think it would. Not to use the replay in game, to create one to ADD it to the game.

Wow you've managed to resuscitate a 3 year old thread.
In simple words, SCS doesn't care anymore, as far as they are concerned DW is a DEAD project so there will be no solution coming from them.
And as far as the community reverse engineering the format I think its a DEAD issue as well.
Maybe you haven't noticed but DW is not a mod friendly game, and SCS stance on modding hasn't really had a "positive" effect on the players.
Thats the reason why we have so few mods and they take years and years to develop. The players ended up being cought in the crossfire between SCS and the modding (that wanted to add new playable units....) community.

They made an expansion and it looks good so far. The newest version is summer 2014 I think....

Please provide a link. Most stuff google shows relating to RA DWX is in Russian, or similar language. That doesn't help finding it.
