Default How Do I Record 688(i) Hunter/Killer Gameplay?

Ahoy there fellow skippers!,
I was wondering how I could record my gameplay for 688(i). I have FRAPS but it doesn't indicate compatibility, yet it does in Fleet Command. Is there a better program out there or a workaround?

Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Default Years later:)

OK, I've encountered the same problem. I wrote an e-mail to Sonalysts, just to receive this as the answer:

Quote:
We used FRAPS for all our game video capture, except for 688(I). FRAPS is design to capture DirectX video. 688(I) is not DirectX, it uses RenderWare(R). If I recall correctly, we used a hi-res camera to record the 688(I) videos off a monitor.

Sonalysts Dev Team
So....FRAPS is not suitable for RenderWare engines, it seems. And that is strange, 'cause RenderWare is also used GTA 3 and GTA 3 SA (and many other games), and FRAPS seems to be working fine with them. Any ideas how to record a RenderWare-based gameplay, anyone?

Thanks

Sure, I'll post any footage I make, but not sooner then the beginning of September and, just to mention, I'm not a guru at subsims at all, just a big amateur, so if everything goes as I planned and there will be indeed a LP, I'm afraid it can lack of quality. Other then that, any footage I make will be posted.

I've posted a gameplay video on youtube recently, in order to check the quality. Seems nice. Here's the link -
