T34 vs Tiger- New Add on: PhaseOne 1943

To all, greetings!

ZW

Recommendation

Through testing the minimum CPU required is a 3.0Ghz Dual Core.
And the best OS for performance is Windows 7 (64bit).
Please NOTE: It is the CPU that play a greater roll in performance
then is the GPU I recently had to change my mind on this.
therefore this area of Graphics required is fairly High end. Through
feedback that Nvidia cards have a performance edge over ATI.
Therefore I would recommend something less then 2yrs. old.
Preferably a Nvidia graphics card with a bare minimum of a 512 mgs
of VRAM. And when it comes to details; Do not go "Green" because
the low energy cards are dogs!

Onwards towards KURSK!

Default Thanks Guys

Thanks Guys,
I have to tell you my intention is to produce an income from my
labor and 3d models I created for this sim. Some stuff I will be
delighted to share freely, but I need support to release such an
ambitious project as the one I envisionand curretly working on.

My plan is to release it like the Uboat missions addon in SH4.
that would enable me to increase the focus on this sim to 100%

My long term plan is to prvide an update mission release on a montly
bases. The potential for this sim is endless as I see it.

Well you have certainly surprised us all with the extent of your modifications.

Are we to assume that you have managed to get your models in game using the Maya application if so would you be interested in showing the rest of us how that was done? As I know that there are one or two competent molders waiting in the wings for precisely the kind of information you seem to have?

I'm going to talk to a friend who has paypal (brother in -law) and arrange to help beta test, because i'd like to throw in any help I can. I'm going to do some testing tomorrow with hyperthreading enabled and then disabled to see if that has an effect on the game.

In zw's mission 6 remake/christmas release (which is an enjoyment btw) i get anywhere between 45-60+fps and only have drops lower then that if I'm using a scoped mode/binoculars through the smoke of a burning vehicle, but it still stays above 25fps and because of the slow nature of the game that is more then enough. (compared to a FPS)

I'll report back on my hyperthreading findings tomorrow. It would be helpful for others to see people reporting more specifically what hardware they have if they list their fps. I've got an i7 920 watercooled @ 4.2 Ghz with 6GBddr3 and dual SSD's in raid-0. So its a quad core but with hyperthreading is effectively an 8 core chip. I also have 2x GTX 280's in SLI that are also watercooled. I play at 1680x1050 resolution with 4x antialiasing and 16x anisotropic filtering with all the in game settings maxed.

Wow oilman,

Ok! Let's start from the beginning. First UN-INSTALL all the ZW stuff in the
order you installed. Testing each time you do a Un-Install.
All the way back to the Pre-Kursk large install.

Keep me posted

ZW

PS: Make sure when re-Installing the Stock Game you manually delete all the folders and files first.
Because the Stock T34 vs Tiger does not do a good job of overwriting files.

Default I figured out how to print screen LOL

I finaly broke down and read the instructions.

I removed TVT and reinstalled and put the prekursk mod on. This time mission one looks radicaly different. All the missions are different. I see the zw instal notes. The ZW installer and uninstaler. But I'm still getting the error message when I run the ZWinstaller. I was under the impression the instal should work or not work. Not something in between. I'm I right there? The error window says it will save a copy of the error report. And I wrote that down. But I can't find that folder. Anyways lets try attatching a pic. Note. Mission one did not look like this on my first ZW instal. But both instal attempts definately installed nonstock missions. On the second instal mission ones land scape looks lik the Swiss Alps!

I'll have to find my photobucket account and get logged in.

Default Help install Zeewolf Christmas mod

Hello..need a bit of help installing the Xmas mod..once I can get that running..I want to buy the full mod...FIRST I was able to successfully play and install the game and Zeewolf mod on my OLD machine (windows xp based..Amd fx57 processor)
NOW I have built a brand new machne..Windows 7 pro sp1 64 bit...Amd II
Phenon 1100T based, I can install the base game and it plays fine...

When I go to install the Zeewolf Xmas mod, I get the following error:

(Note..I have done a fresh install..twice..with same error message)

Zeewolf Christmas gift plus GErman mis 6 update 2.0 has not been installed because of the following reason:
Cannot create the following file:

C:\Program Files(x86)\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 v.Tiger\ZW_Uninstall.$$A

You will have to run this utility again....

(however..I run it again..still nothing) Any thoughts? thanks!

P.S.S. Silent Hunter 5 is up and running on this system (with numerous subsim mods) fine...no hiccups..

If you need any more of my system specs...just let me know...

LAST THOUGHT: Before I powered down my last system.and built the new system..I saved many files..one of them
being the ZMOD Christmas gift mod...saved it to a thumbdrive..and then copy and pasted it on to my NEW PC to begin
the install process...could the file ITSELF have been corrupt in this process? I have had this happen with OTHER silent hunter 5 subsim mods...just a thought.

Try installing TvT in "C" not Program Files for Win7. folder, then the patch
