It would appear that you have a corrupted save game?
Do not overwrite previous saved games or use autosaves to load your game.
Always make a manual game save.

What type of installation do you have > Uplay download > DVD > STEAM?

One question:
No matter what uboat type I use(VIIa/VIIb/VIIc/41) , the send ping button on hydrophone panel seems no response(and even no hint). I wonder if there's no actual function for this button in the vanilla game. Thx guys.

hi guys, I've recently installed TWoS and my map tools are not centred right, when i click on the map with any tool, marker, ruler etc it doesnt appear where i've clicked it, instead it shows up maybe an inch off from where i've clicked, not sure if its a common bug or if i've installed it wrongly, any advice would be greatly appreciated

hi, is it known bug that crew wont go on deck when boat is surfaced, because thats what hapening to me right now? giving order to my watch crew officer doesnt work either...

edit: ok so i reloaded save and it seems to work again. its just when i dive or crash dive, crew stays on deck when i submerge, so i dont know if they really died back then or its just visual bug lol

That's due to ALT-TAB out of the game, SH5 doesn't like it and this and other glitches will happen as a consequence.

I have just installed Wolves of Steel to my v 1.2 Steam SH5. It won't run because of 'Error code 51.' I have tried the following:

1) Rebooting
2) Copying the Steam.exe file from Program files 86 which is located on my C drive and pasting it to my SH5 folder, which is on my E drive.
3) Bad language.

Nothing seems to work. I uninstalled Norton before I did any of the above, so it can't be my anti-viral software getting over-enthusiastic and deleting the exe. file, which has happened before a couple of times with other games.

Can anybody help?

do you have uplay installed and updated?
i got an error recently too when tried to start sh5 (dont remember if it was error 51 though) and it was because of uplay (ubisoft piece of **** launcher)

Unfortunately, Ubisoft's "WONDERFUL" launcher isn't the problem. I have just (re)installed the latest version as instructed, with identical results. Any/all help/suggestions would be most gratefully received.

i have encountered a weird issue where the depth meter says that i'm at periscope depth when i'm on the surface and will not let me dive of use the depth under keel function.
