Yep, but when they arent, you cant catch them and it becomes quite boring for the players that dont use jets. Like in the last game, Nicldoe was in his BI jet, I was in my 109. He couldnt hit me, but I couldnt catch him either, he only had to give up when he ran out of fuel.

Yeah, the only time I managed to get a 262 was Kratos, I was in a Hurri, and I managed to spook him into too sharp a climb or turn and I think he stalled and got into a spin. Unfortunately, all during the chase I had pushed my engine waaaay beyond its limits, and it promptly stopped shortly after Kratos went into a spin. I managed to crashland next to his flaming wreckage, have a screenshot lying around somewhere of the landing

The jets are dumb. You take ages to get up speed just to lose it in a turn and when you bump your throttle up your engine catches fire.

Though saying that did anyone see my attempts to fly that BI-6 ramjet rocket thing at the weekend?

Well, here's a rant for you. The AI in IL2 has to be the most stupid I have ever seen on a flightsim! On my current BoB campaign, I have been rammed 3 times, the crappy fecks have stolen my kills half a dozen times and I have been literally been shot down twice thanks to the ******* shoulder shooting AI.

"Weee, I can flllyyyy!!! Oh look, there's Dowly chasing a Hurricane! Number 2, you ram his rudder off, number 3 you steal his kill and me, I'll shoot the fecka down just for the **** and giggles! All hail the Luftwaffe!"

Oh and wtf are the radio commands for!? I told my wingman to get the fock away from my target while I was chasing it, he acknowledged the order, rolled on his side, farted and was again on my tail shoulder shooting. I cant wait to be promoted so I can command the whole fecking squadron, I order them to tighten formation while we are taking off = *CRASH*. Tossers...
