Default No 3D view.

So for some reason when I try to play DW anymore I have no 3D view when doing a mission. So I cant see my sub in the water but just see the top-down map. So does anyone know how I can get the 3D view again?

Thanks

What should I be looking for? I checked all the settings and don't see anything related to this.

If you go to Options > 3D then click the [>>] button below the bottom right of the 3D preview, you get to more 3D options. There should be a checkbox called "Disable 3D". Make sure it's unchecked.

Thanks, I don't know I could have missed that. I looked in that menu more than once. Anyway the problem is solved

Another quick question I have though is when trying to be silent what is the recommended max speed you should run while still remaining silent? I mainly play with the Seawolf Class sub. I usually try to keep it around 5kts when trying to be quiet but not sure if I can go a little faster.

0 kts speed is best to being silent but worst for tactical reason

There is no simple answer - your main role is to be exactly on time into your patrol area. So if you have 1 hour and 15 nautical miles to your partol area, best speed will be....

..as always, your maximum tactical speed - no lower than 15 kts.

you should go faster than minimum speed because you can find something "unwelcome" on sonar or other sensor :P

Before transit you should check layer depth. If you can transit under layer - you should go fast, but under layer.
