Default Your pictures are fantastic

Hello butcher,
Your pictures are fantastic. Do you have more?
And of course butcher the Germans and Her allies lost the war,
we all know that.
However (that being a given) the question becomes how they lost?
You see my interest in WW2 has a philosophical component, and that
being: All wars begin with lies.
Demanding the truth first before all else. But this takes courage to
stand against enormous "knee jerk" pressure. I never forget the fact
that Governments want war first then the people are lead in to them,
never the reverse.

Best regards,
ZeeWolf

Ahhhh love the ISU-152 pic with that monster gun, one of my favs. I sometimes try and imagine seeing these armored beasts rolling up to my trench. Very scary since most were just armed with a bolt-action rifle way back then.

Although that thing was not exactly ideal for tank duels with the long reload times. Didn't they have to load a powder charge for the shell?

P.S. Is there a JagdTiger there?

Thanks for the comments guys, just wanted to cover the tanks that are included in the game with a little extra !
The ISU-152 crews didn't use any powder when reloading ,no Jagdtigers here but in the Kubinka tank museum they have all the goodies and even the only remaining Maus super heavy german tank !
I have been there last year but i will take new pics, promise not less than hundred pics, closeups and all that and i will be visiting the tank museum in Israel as well , they have a perfect Stug IV, Pzkw IV etc , the only thing is that all the tanks at display there are in the desert paint scheme !
I will post more pics tomorrow and thanks again for the comments !

Looking to spend some post-Christmas funds-I find tank sims rather appealing, so some questions:

Any major bugs unresolved a year after release?

Can you run multiplayer on a LAN? Is MP running smoothly now?

Are there lots of user-made scenarios now?

Default Stug IV in Israel?

Hello Butcher,

I read your post with interest and I liked your pics!

Re the Stug IV at the tank museum in Isreal?I knew they had a Panzer IV which they took from the inept Syrians( talk about giving these clown such a wonderful tank!) in 1967.I also know the Syrians got the PzIV from the French who got them as war booty after 1945.What about the Stug IV did the Israelis capture them from the Syrians as well?

Cheers!

gott say i rather like this one, Tiger vs.t34, and no, i didn't get the name wrong since the best t34 is one that's been destroyed. it's unfortunate it was abandoned cuz there aren't many non-acardy type tank games out there

I agree with you but then it was the quantity and never the quality of the T-34 that killed the Tiger !
I have spoken to russian WW-2 vets , the ones that survived that is and they told me the last thing they wanted to see on the horizont was the Tiger , they had great respect for that tank !!!

Hey guys I have started getting the pesky dinput8.dll error again, where the program refuses to start 4-5 times and finally initiates. Once in a great while it will error out during game play as well.

Any solutions? Besides unplugging all my CH sticks, rudders and throttles which are a pain to reinitiate! Not that this helped in the least last time I had this problem, although after googling the problem that is what was recommended.

Thanks in advance!

Arrggghh!

So I've ordered this, punched in the keycode in caps, in lower case, with dashs, and w/o dashes, and am told that it's invalid, and now it appears the company is Kaput.

Lovely.

Don't panic! We have all been there.
Not sure if they still have the stupidly small label that needed a magnifying glass to read but try 'nought' instead of the letter 'O' and vice-versa.
The same with '2' and the letter 'Z'.
I have installed this game many, many times and never get it right first time.
Eventually I put it into a notepad file so I could paste it into the box,so much easier

I use all upper case and the dashes must be there.

Out of the box it does have problems.
However thanks to ZeeWolf ( see here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=203) most of the problems are getting fixed.
He is even working on a Kursk mod due out in March, although it won't be free.
If you can pick it up cheap (highly likely, seeing as the developers went bust) then it's worth a try I think.

Have a browse of the forum link I posted and see if it looks like what you want out of a game.

Chucky.
