Default AOD - Neutral Shipping?

Is there neutral shipping in Aces of the Deep? Or is everything fair game from day 1? I didn't see anything in the manual about it, but
it does appear that merchant ships fly different colored flags.

I've seen US ships but everything is fair game.

No, no friendly/Neutral ships, no friendly planes...With one exception: allied wolfpack submarines (yellow icons on the strategic map).
All ships are enemy ones.

There's another exception, the Milch Cows that spawn when you are too low on fuel to make it home and report such to BdU. But only in the 1942-43 time frame if I recall correctly.

Thank you
I never did encounter these, but good to know they exist!

I have never uncoutered these, even though I sent a convoy spotted message and even when once I received a message ordering me to attack a convoy (which I did but with no support...).

So, I am curious, since other subs can "team kill" (tactics/tips section), can you sink them too? If so what happens? (reprimands...)

And, actually, (referring to your other posts about this) I don't think that the convoy spotted message is broken because since the convoy zigzags, maybe your crew tries to find out what there true course is, so maybe try to stalk a convoy longer and then send the message.
