Default mouse button problems

seems that my mouse button messages are repeating in this program.

.ie a single click sends multiple click messages.

this makes using the tool very frustrating. its almost impossible to call up the right click menu, because it shows then hides itself in rapid succession on a single click. i have to hold the mouse button down and try to time it so its stays open when i release the button. ofcourse, i have to do this several times to get it right.

i can get around this annoyance mostly by using keyboard shortcuts, but it affects everything else in the program.

whenver i select an icon with a single click.. i inadverntly move it slightly because the program is getting more than just a single click.

also, i cant use the vector add tool, because when i select the Vector1 or Vector2 item, the tool is dropped right after i click it.

how to stop this?

i used this tool some years ago, and never had this problem.

im using a Logitech G5 laser mouse, windows XP SP3

Try a different mouse...

Sounds like a cranky mouse driver to me.

yeah, i checked the logitech website today and seems my G5 drivers were abit dated.

after updating, its smooth sailing.

weird though, because i never noticed any problems before. go figure.

...probably just some recent windows update that finally out-moded it.

I'm having the same problem using a usb wireless mouse. (win xp sp2)

IMO it would make much more sense to have ESC *only* cancel the current tool, and RMB *only* used for context menus
