Icon7 9 year after...

Hi mates,
Nine years later, I start on SH5 ... Better late than never.
Game patched in 1.02 and no added mode.
Can you point me to the most interesting add-ons and essential modes ?

Thanks.

Hi,

Obviously, TWoS:

Best choice for newcomer in my opinion as stock game is awful and by creating your own mod selection you're very likely to make game unstable. TWoS comes with relatively simple installer and is very, very stable on top of adding copious amount of content.

Another choice, if you prefer less modified but still stable game, would be recent modlist by Xenonsurf:

As for "better late than never" - games (except for online games) are like wine, the later you play them the better they are.

Yes indeed, that's true !
In 2010, I was never able to install SH5. And now, that's absolutely perfect at the first attempt !

Thanks for the recommendations, I note.

Another question: is there a JGSME mode for SH5?

And also a little mod to have the real flags?

TWOS is downloading.

I will still work a bit with the original to familiarize myself and then I will install it.

Thanks again.

JGSME is included in TWoS pack, in fact optional submods of TWoS are turned on/off using JGSME. As for flags, no idea because I didn't play stock long enough to remember any flags issues, and flags in TWoS seem alright to me.

I recommend the Wolves of Steel options file editor for enabling/disabling tweaking LOTS of options. I found it to be a most excellent tool.
