Torpedo load out on ships question?

As some of you know I like to play as a ship, I have a good few ships now in my harbour that I've downloaded.
They are all great models and I applause and respect the guys who did them, on some I have noticed there is only 1 torpedo, on others a few more.

My question is, how do I get a better load out on the single torp ships?

One ship I have is an armed merchant and it not only has 6 torpedoes but an extra store, then on a Cruiser I have only 1 torpedo.

i can only relate what some have done on uboats to increase their load out.
while in-port, use Notepad to open the ActiveUserPlayerUnit.upc and search for "bunker". if there is a store, that will be the element to change.
