Default Kursk drama on the stage in London

This is the first time I've heard of submarine life being depicted at the theatre, may be worth a visit for Brit subsimers (until June 27th).

There's a certain type of category that stories about Russian/Soviet military and navy fall into in the west. For submarine movies and stories it's usually the tragic ones (this one and also K-19, even Hunt for the Red October). Also thinking about war movies in general made from a Russian/Soviet point of view in the west it's usually tragic and sad stories such as Stalingrad, Enemy at the gates and even Uprising.

I guess it's a part of the west's attempt to pick and choose items from the Russian/Soviet history and attempt to define the history of the region.
