I don't know about SH3, but indeed in SH4 there has to be an empty line at the end of the file, or the last equipment is somehow not read. I already got the habit of leaving that extra line from editing other games that seems to suffer the same problem.

I see in your blog that you keep creating new ships . Is that the whole line of J-class destroyers and derivatives?. While setting up your line of 30's destroyers for my SH4 I did some reading on the rest of classes, and it was really messy: different guns in ships of the same class, different mounts... It must be a nightmare to model.

Anyway, excellent work. I can't wait to have them .

The principal aim is creating a replacement of the ugly stock SH3 J class; for the rest, let's see.
And yes, the J, K, N class follow-ups were rather different ...

I get this message when I try to enable using JSGME. It's conflicting with the Frog's(/your) new NMS Algerine mod.

... the destroyers have an older version of the guns_UK.* files. So, install the destroyers first, then the Algerine, or only install the files in the roster and sea subfolders. Otherwise, the Algerines will have not all weapons.

Why do these destroyers don't have sonar? Is there a fix?

It shouldn't matter if you use them or not. If you do, might want to check their sonar/hydrophone settings and match them with NYGM's.

I know this ships are relatively old and the_frog seems to have vanished, but with the SH4 release of a revamp of Operation Monsoon mod by Fifi I decided to port these (and the rest of the_frog magnificent ships) to my SH4 once and for all (lost my previous work a while ago).

I wondered if someone with naval WW2 expertise could help me with the ID of the skins that came with this pack, as I'm struggling with some of the textures.

For every class I create a text file with the info I can get, that looks like this

Quote:
A-Class:

T01=Prewar 1939
T02=1939-40
T03=1940
T04=1941-42
T05=1942
T06=Acasta 1940
T07=Ardent 1940
T08=WA 1941
T09=WA 1941-42
T10=1942-43
T11=HMS Anthony 1941-42?
T12=HMS Achates 1943-44?
T13=1944
T14=1945
T15=1944-45
T16=1945
Where known, I enter the ship and the approximate time the pattern was worn. It's a very tedious task, and in many cases I haven't found evidences or can't find the date for a pic so I have to guess (the ? marks).

Anyone here that could help?

Thank you guys, but maybe I didn't explain the problem clearly.

I don't need sites with pictures. One main problem is dating the images I can get in Google or Bing. I need to know if a camo was on a certain ship in 1942, or 1943 or whenever. The more accurate, the better.

Then there are some of the textures which I can't find a ship to match. For instance, this one:

It's supposed to be a G&H destroyer, but I never found a pic with a similar camo in any of the ships of the class.
