So is it normal that I dont have a statometer? And that the range value in raobf are not correct? (x6 periscope)
Statometer??
Or stadimeter?… there is no stadimeter in SH3 …
As for RAOBF, forget about it… historically there was no RAOBF in WW2 periscopes

Distances are not important in a torpedo solution … except to get the chrono torpedo impact estimation.
With some practice, you will be good enough to visually estimate the target distance, even if it’s wrong by few hundred meters… no big deal.
Important factor number one is speed, then AOB.

Distance, only comes into play in your calculations... in as much as, ensuring that the torp your using... has the sea legs to get to the target... bearing in mind, that your speed & AOB settings are correct.

As Fifi (& others) have pointed out... those 2 (speed & Angle on the Bow) are the more critical calculations here.

Legs for Fat & Lut? No problem, distance doesn’t need to be THAT precise

With the standard WS GUI there is a stadimeter.
With the OLC GUI you need to double the mast height.
This note was forgotten in version 2015 + 2020.

So I dont know how to quote multiple message in one post (if thats even possible) So I will answer everything under this one

M.M thank you for your welcome!
Fifi I do mean stadimeter, never saw it written so.. oops.

I never played vanilla sh3, always played with grey wolves gold and I think it was in there? Or my brain confuses all the titles.

Concerning RAOBF I rather not use it, but if its the only tool given to me in the periscope for range. (ok I guess there are the tick marks and the 0.22 thingie with x6, maybe I should use that but cant find that formula anymore.) As with speed how did they do it irl? 3min 15 the ships on hydro?

Et par la meme occasion un grand merci pour tout ces mods et nous rendre une subsim experience encore plus belle

La vache, I think you fixed my headache. I will try it in a few hours and see if the height mass x2 fixes my range. Thanks!!!

Default UPDATE**

UPDATE**

So I played around with everything, removed mods, added, mods, destroyed my campaign in the process , oh welp I was warned by lsh3 about it, and I will pretend I died in an air raid at base.

But first of all I discovered this is the wrong thread. I added your mod as well as 'DGUI_1920x1080_for_LSH3_2020_ProPo' by ericlea and the newbie I am tought it was part of the same package.

I mass downloaded sh3, lsh3, your addon to it and his dgui on the same night, btw am I supposed to use diego's dgui? I cant find it. So RAOBF disk was added by either lsh3, or ericlea, I got no clue. But not you

Regarding my trouble with the RAOBF, for the curious of you, it works on most merchants ( I dont encounter warships beside escorts anyways) but I found two types for which the RAOBF ranging doesnt work, and neither does the x6 periscope marks with the according mast height chart. I checked if they were damaged and sitting low on water and it doesnt seem to be the case. So Im kinda confused. And if you use raobf for calculation range is a factor in the aob calculation so its important. Now I just clock the ships for speed and eyeball the rest. It works so far

In conclusion, thank you for trying to help me and sorry for wasting your time posting this issue in the wrong thread.

can this mod still be used for living silent hunter 2022 or should i wait for fifi to make a suitable version for living silent hunter 2022. I like this mod because it adds some realism effects to the game.
