It really slows down when the Katashusas start to fire, this also happens on the first edited mission of the Russian campaign. When flying up the left flank on that map (Kursk) you come to big trench, can't cross it, and when you get close to it the tank dissapears into the piled up soil that sits on it's lip??? I thought I had taken screenshots of other issues I had came across, but when I paste anything into photoshop or paint it's just a black screen that gets pasted??? Sometimes when after completing a mission and looking around at the various units via the tab button, destroyed tanks or spgs have appeared to have sunk into the ground. Sometimes when driving at full pelt my tank will vere off to the right or left? It's almost like propellor torque that you would experience in a flight sim??? Should the tank not move forward in a straight line unless the user presses the appropiate keys for right and left? I'll update you on issues that I come across as time goes on but for now here's my specs, a shortened edit of my Dxdiag ......

Yeah, that's the swamp effect that occurs on the mega maps. and only
happens when you line your tank up exactly 0 deg north and again at 180 deg south.
I posted about this already and worked out a solution for the Kursk M1 that will still use
the mega map but reduce the chance of the of those directions I mentioned earlier.
The Tank trench needs some collision mesh adjustments.
And the tanks steering issues are related to the mega maps too, that's why
I will phase out their use with a smaller sized map. The first you will see used in the
Kursk M4 that will be in the Easter Beta Patch.
Also, I used to put out smaller patches as I fixed each problem but I changed that method
because of the potential for even more work (putting
out fires) so-to-speak. Now I take my time and work at my best pace.
This method has helped me do my best work. Slower yes but for a one
human shop I think production is still high for war time standards.

Bewegung!

It's taken me about three years to get that motherboard to that spec, I'll be keeping it for another good few years yet. Once you buy a performance motherboard stick with it and maybe you'll only have to upgrade a few minor things as they get obselete. I've gotten more than my money's worth back in entertainment from that great board, best thing I've bought for my computer ..............

Three years is a long time Walshy.
I forgot to mention something important about the swamp effect.
And that is, the swamp effect has been eliminated with the high
resolution mesh "mega maps". But I doubt you would notice any fps hit (with your PC).

Hi ZW,

i didnt mean to turn on or off the hud info, its too usefull to abondon it.
I meant to have two different colors to be switched.
The original color for summer and the new green one for winter.

Yeah it will but you should be ok. I still have not given up on finding the fps
drag. Although it is a hell of a challenge.

Default Help install Zeewolf Christmas mod

Hello..need a bit of help installing the Xmas mod..once I can get that running..I want to buy the full mod...FIRST I was able to successfully play and install the game and Zeewolf mod on my OLD machine (windows xp based..Amd fx57 processor)
NOW I have built a brand new machne..Windows 7 pro sp1 64 bit...Amd II
Phenon 1100T based, I can install the base game and it plays fine...

When I go to install the Zeewolf Xmas mod, I get the following error:

(Note..I have done a fresh install..twice..with same error message)

Zeewolf Christmas gift plus GErman mis 6 update 2.0 has not been installed because of the following reason:
Cannot create the following file:

C:\Program Files(x86)\Lighthouse Interactive\T34 v.Tiger\ZW_Uninstall.$$A

You will have to run this utility again....

(however..I run it again..still nothing) Any thoughts? thanks!

P.S.S. Silent Hunter 5 is up and running on this system (with numerous subsim mods) fine...no hiccups..

If you need any more of my system specs...just let me know...

LAST THOUGHT: Before I powered down my last system.and built the new system..I saved many files..one of them
being the ZMOD Christmas gift mod...saved it to a thumbdrive..and then copy and pasted it on to my NEW PC to begin
the install process...could the file ITSELF have been corrupt in this process? I have had this happen with OTHER silent hunter 5 subsim mods...just a thought.

Also note that I just re-uploaded the "ZW_Mods.zip" and removed the
UN-install feature. This may be of some help in the future for the Win7
guys. And thanks MikeB for the heads up on the Win7 tip.

Hello ingsoc84,
The best thing is to install over a well running default install. But because
the foundation file (the first Add-on file you receive) it replaces all the files
that the Christmas mod installs. However I recommend installing over a
default install that you have tested first.

Cheers!
