Starting out on my first patrol, and what's the first non-German ship I run into?





Guess I should be happy it was early August...


So, it turns out that pretty early in the War a certain warship makes a switch from Scapa Flow to Loch Ewe.


At a rather slow speed I might add. Alone.



I just happened to be in the area at the time.





5 torpedoes later, and HMS Hood capsizes, explodes, and sinks at 23:19 on September 14, 1939.

Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted much of the work.

However, if I continue to develop my merchant mod then I will definitely start again.

That's a pitty! Do you know whether it's possible to just delete the upper wooden box without messing up the textures on the lower boxes? EDIT: Tried it myself and it works fine! Now I will probably exchange the containers with the wooden boxes (because removing the containers completely leaves Jimbuna's Q-ship guns naked )

BTW, beautiful pictures ! What environment mod are you using?

I am using MEP - lovely mod indeed, although personally I like the effects more than the interface changes. Stock SH3 actually had an excellent interface in my opinion - except for drab-looking icons.

In may 42 right outside US , a hospitalship with aircraft escort ,
we sunk it Because somrthings not right when a hospitalship has fighter escort

I keep a separate SH3 installation for my modding tests. Here's one of them.

Some things to keep in mind:

1) My "friend" here can move at varied depths and even surface.
2) This is not an MP match - it's a shot of an AI object.
3) He can be spawned by radio messages once you sight a convoy.
4) He has some freedom of movement, and will not move like a train on a track, as many of the current AI units do.
4) He can actually launch attacks against enemy units, and will retreat when he's out of torpedoes.

Hopefully, more developments later...

I guess you created an 'airplane' looking like a sub, right?

Are the AI subs attacked by depthcharges?

Intercepting a small cargo ship north of Cape Verde. Struck by 1 torpedo, the ship erupted in a massive inferno. According to SH3 Commander, there were four survivors from a crew of 65.
