Default Ubisoft asks for product key

Hey all,

This is my first post on this forum so sorry if this is in the wrong place or if it has been asked before already. Having played Silent Hunter 5 as a kid years ago I wanted to play it again today but this time with the TWOS mod installed. However, Ubisoft now asks again to enter a product key after I installed (which I already entered years ago so it is already linked to my account). This makes me unable to play the game. Also I noticed that the patches thing only has 8 lines instead of the 9 required. Can anyone help me with this as this mod looks amazing!

Thanks a lot,
RnadomBelgian

Hello RandomBelgian, welcome aboard!

Here is the fix to your issue:
https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...&postcount=452

All you have to do is replace the original SH5.exe with the new SH5.exe THEBERBSTER provided, then set up your Ubisoft settings to those shown in the pictures.

When you replace the original SH5.exe with the new SH5.exe Peter provided, you are thus completely removing Ubisoft from the game which means pesky Ubisoft won't ask for your game key.

Though it is advised to do this BEFORE installing TWoS, I did it after installing it and it worked fine for me. You can do whatever you choose, however.
