It's going to be a wonderful thing, what with the awesome-looking fire, to be able to die going down into the drink- flames and glory and whatnot.

Of those videos, I found this one to be most interesting:

Has anyone heard of any updates on the release date? Is it still scheduled for around October?

I very much doubt it but it would be foolish of them to name a date that was unrealistic...maybe the game will be finished before Christmas 2011?

IIRC it's either released in November at the latest or becomes vaporware. They'll be out of money at that point.

Can't recall for the life of me where I found that info though.

Didn't Maddox say that the game should have plenty of fans by Battle of Britain Day or so?

Think that's the release date they're shooting for at the moment, yes.

I hope they make it, or it might not be released at all.

They've spent too much money on it to not to release it.

There's the difference that Oleg is his own boss and doesn't have to listen to what publishers say.

Combine that with him being a perfectionist and voila, we get a release date of 2023, Q3 most likely.

I'd rather see a good game that can be patched up afterhand than a game that is released long after I lost interest tbh

No, I rather have a game that barely needs patching then risking the support of the game beeing crap as with SHV

Don't have SHV so cannot relate to that particular example...but I rather see the game released than not at all.

Maybe. Games that get delayed for prolonged periods tend to be buggy. Games that are released because they hit a deadline, instead of being ready, tend to be incomplete. Buggy, incomplete games are more likely to be fixed by modders than the developers.

At least if it's released there's something to fix, I'll give you that.

Looks like a new update every week now. I like that frequency, implies that they're really getting things together
