Default Hydrophone broken?

Hello, I am playing SH3 with GWX, SH3 commander, M.E.P. v6 and H.sie fixes. My hydrophone was working fine at the start of the patrol, but just now, I was in the middle of a convoy, going dead slow, and my hydrophone operator could pick up no contacts? I checked the hydrophone manually, and of course could hear the merchants super clearly since I was less than a kilometre away from some of them. However, the hydrophone operator picked up nothing. Has anybody else experienced this?

More than once-the hydro operator is the brother of the watch officer that won't go to the bridge when surfacing.

Had this happen to me and found if I take the Sonar man out of his station and move to the crew quarters and then back again, he regains his hearing.

It could be a fatigue back ground issue, just guessing.

Good hunting,

Additionally it could be a feature of the hydrophone system your U-boat is equipped with. If it's plain GHG, your operator will have a blind spot about 20 degrees either side of the bow, whereas the KDB addition alleviates this. However, when you man the station yourself this issue will never be apparent.
