Sure, I can post this later when I get home, I am at work

There is a recent thread here where Modders themselves are posting their set-up,
check out that thread: Here

As you mentioned it can all be a little overwhelming at first, but the best way to learn is to try a few out, most are JSGME (Mod Enabler) Compatible. If you don't have JSGME, it is one of the first links in this thread, it is a must and will make your life much easier when installing and uninstalling mods

Also, for an Illustrated JSGME Guide, check out the link below my sig., it is an older
one, but it gives you a nice idea on how to use JSGME.

Most mods have a thread attached that will give you an idea on what that mod does and how to install it, but again most are JSGME Compatible.

Finally, all of this will get easier with experience and folks here are great to
help out if you have questions. On that note, some of the answers to your questions may be in older threads, so be sure to use the search function located
at the top of the page here at SUBSIM.

I've written a Java-application which automatically analyses the SH3-Data and creates a Ship-ID-manual in pdf-format of that. On my filefront-page one can find Ship-ID-manuals for:

GWX 2.1 (english and german)
Stock SH3 (english and german)
Community ship mod (english and german)
NYGM 3.1 (english and german)

If needed, I can easily add ID-manuals for other supermods or shipmods like WAC, LSH, merchant fleet and so on.....

Only found this sim recently. Awesome! It's keeping me up til 3am every morning!
It's the damn destroyers keeping me pinned down
Fortunately I work offshore so I have a lot of time at home. No getting up in the mornings



HOWEVER ... I must start upping the realism and keep off the alcohol whilst at sea; it wouldn't be the first time I've woken up at 4 or 5am, 100m down, to find the the patrol and escorts are nowhere to be found
