Default What is a good kill rate?

I haev been flyinh Il-2 !946 for a little bit now. I am currently in the middle of the Black Sea Escadrilla campaign. REally good as you don't have to fly too far for action. I have flown 5 missions and have 5 kills so I am an ace. In one mission I think I got two of my kills.

I suppose for a simulation, one or two kills per mission would be pretty good, as it demonstrates that you can hit what you go after enough times to down it without running out of ammunition. Although having said that, the enemy AI in the IL2 series is not the most challenging there's ever been in a sim.

Unless of course you could shoot like this guy, then two per mission would be about average:

Mind you, like a lot of aces, he couldn't land worth a damn.

They can be very thought, especially when they are in squadrons of 4,
always check you Six o'clock as mostly the AI wingmen of the enemy will make a full turn and attack ur six while you try to attack the enemy plane in front of you.

also Bombers on Veteran and Ace skill are dangerous to fly close to.
if you attack them first observe the plane itself...where is his weak spot...
if you hang to long behind their six your pilot or engine will be destroyed.

by bombers its a matter of going in fast make a attack run and get the heck out of the crossfire.
and important AIM for the engines/ wings or Cockpit to kill the pilots.

anyway Xabbarus, where do you live (its about the Time Zone)
as Danlisa / Dowly / Kratos and Me are regular online flyers flying Online campaigns
so if you are interest in some online action just give a shout and I will host the game

weekly I mostly host around 22:00 GMT+1

I live in the UK

I have IL-2 1946 with the latest patch I have enjoyrs patch but that shouldn't cause issues should it?

I'd love to try flying online. I might not be too good but it could be fun.
