RA install steps please

Hi everyone, I tried installing RA but my DW game was still 1.04 with no trace of any changes. Im running win7 x64, my DW is installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sonalysts Combat Simulations\Dangerous Waters
(does that need to change perhaps?)

I extracted the RA folder and .bat to the above directory then ran it as admin. it went rather fast, not nearly as long as LWAMI did. maybe 5 seconds, so im guessing it encountered an error since my game appears 'un-modded'.

Could someone please outline, step-by-step install for RA? Starting from freshly uninstalling DW. Obviously step 1 is to install DW again, but where?

So I followed your steps EXACTLY, even on a different PC just to make sure everything was 'clean'. and the same thing happened, the RA install is quite fast and I can see it saying "file not found" alot. Afterwards, my DW is still unmodded, just plain old 1.04

wtf?

The archive with addition is incorrectly placed.
LOG shows a path:
Could Not Find C:\*.bmp
Could Not Find C:\*.jpg
Could Not Find C:\ShipControl.dll
Could Not Find C:\Sonarbb.dll
Could Not Find C:\Sonarbb.grp

You have placed addition not in a root folder with game, and in a root folder of all disk "C".

From the document! DWX_RA_1_32_OPFOR_INFO.TXT:

NOTE:

* - Install_RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat file and 'RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32' Folder must located precisely in some place as DangerousWaters.exe file

When I said I followed the instructions EXACTLY, I wasnt kidding. But i'll write down what I did, exactly...

1. install DW to C:\Games\Dangerous Waters
2. Patch to 1.04
3. Played a quick mission to ensure the game works.
4. Extracted RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat file and 'RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32' to C:\Games\Dangerous Waters
5. Right-clicked on RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat and chose "run as administrator".
6. Pressed any key as per starting instructions.

to be clear: RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat and folder and dangerouswaters.exe are all in the same location.

Dumb windoze! It "Runs as Administrator" not in the current directory! Sorry Black_Dingo, I do not use windows, therefore not checked this. Since you installed to C:\Games, you can run the bat-file as usual, without any right-clicking.

But i'll write down what I did, exactly... 1. install DW to C:\Games\Dangerous Waters 2. Patch to 1.04 3. Played a quick mission to ensure the game works. 4. Extracted RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat file and 'RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32' to C:\Games\Dangerous Waters 5. Right-clicked on RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat and chose "run as administrator". 6. Pressed any key as per starting instructions. to be clear: RA_OPFOR_DWX1_32.bat and folder and dangerouswaters.exe are all in the same location.

Sorry Black_Dingo, I do not use windows, therefore not checked this. Since you installed to C:\Games, you can run the bat-file as usual, without any right-clicking.
