Jimbuna, she was raised on The Sims games, and fansites, so seeing this message board with all the different signatures, and not knowing the difference between a deck gun and anti-aircraft guns confuse her.

I tried to explain how ballast tanks work, and she got confused when I said compressed air.

Ironically, she's in College Calculus and I'm still in just College Algebra and she's 2 years younger than me!

dear pigboatists. i live less than an hour from my island.. and woudl love to come be part of this awesome idea. i cant tell you the times, riding the ferry crossing from port bolivar on the pennisula, to galveston.. half way there, cutting across from the 'shovel full of sand' thats home of the cavalla.. and its diligent escort destroyer. guys, its worth it.. getting into the cavalla. one note, as much as ive dreamed of the grey life.. i guarantee.. after a few ferry rides.. you get the realization of these men of service we idolize and respect fully, your first descent into the control room.. a moment of realization that this is REAl, and the feeling they must have all felt the first time sliding down the gangway, into a cold hard metal fighting instrumnet of our finest sailors ever. plus i have intimate knowledge of galveston, and pt. bolivar across the hosuton ship channel.. as well as the rest of the pennisula.. crystal beach, gilchrist.. and might even still ave my beach house in 6-8 months.. so.. cuont me in neal.. and thanks. looking forward to seeing this all with you guys.. and offering my love of and expirience of my island.. to share with like minded friends. thanks guys.

1. Are you planning anything for the Wife’s and or Better half’s to do, while the boy’s are off playing there silly games.
2. Is there anything we can bring, like chips, soda pop, paper plates. Or maybe an extra chair or two, we also have a card table if needed . So dear let us (The Better Half’s) know if there is anything we can do to help . Let us know please and thank you .

@ Mr. Neal , sir the wife and I thank you for the invite to visit and BBQ . I think it will be great to see the faces and hear the voices of some SubSim family members . That in itself is worth a road trip for sure . I’ll keep my eye open for more posting and updates on the meet .

Hi Kaye,

at present there is no Ms. Stevens, but that's always subject to change without notice. But, you raise a good point, what we can do is, after I post the signup form so we can start signing up people and getting a list of attendees, I will contact you and the other wives who are coming and discuss some alternate events that you may be interested in. Once we draw closer to the Oct date, we can set up something and work out the details, i.e., who will manage the group, where and when, ect.

Shipwreck, Larry, glad to know you are planning to come, looking forward to meeting you!
