Aircraft icons

Here is a list of the mods I am running.

RFB_v1.52_102408
RFB_v1.52_Patch_18Jan09
RFB_v1.52_RadarHotfix
RSRDC_RFBv15_V420
RSRDC_V420_Patch2
OpsMonsun_V700
OM_V700_Patch3
Csengoi's EnemiesOfGermany
RFB_German Audio Files
Locks_of Holtenau_Brunsbuettel_SH4_1.5_OM_V600

Now, how do I get back the aircraft icons on the map. When I get the call aircraft spotted, and I attempt to see if it is headed for my boat or not a threat, I am unable to see the aircraft in the 3d view most likely due to limitations of the game. I get this a lot when I get a contact call from my lookouts, and look in the direction of the spotted object. I see nothing, no matter what magnification. In the case of the aircraft it is a nuisance. Most of the time the plane flys by miles away and is never a threat.

I use TC a lot, until I get a surface contact. It is very annoying to have it come out of TC for an aircraft, and not being able to determine the threat level of it, or even if it is an enemy. The reason I use TC a lot is because I have limited time playing and so wanna get to the juicy bits of the game (stalking a convoy, or ship, or evading a destroyer.) Most of the time the aircraft are annoying bees.

we do know
look in Data\Menu\Gui\Units\UnitAir.dds
now edit this file with a good image editor like paint.net or replace it with the stock file.

Was my initial post's tone wrong?

I just want to know, was the wording of my initial post conveying a rude tone? The reason I ask is because there were so many views and no response. It took my posting a response saying the likes of "no one knows?" in order to prompt some reaction.

The reaction conveys that people knew the answer to my inquiry, but decided to not answer.

This makes me think that people were offended by the tone of my question.

I will try the suggestion from Darkfish, and appologize for any rudeness on my part if that is what was the reason for the zero response.

No, nothing wrong with your tone
I did read your post right after you initially posted it. I wanted to reply but didn't have time back then. When I eventually had time I completely forgot to reply

No, actually what happens (at least on my part) is that I see a question and if I don't have a clue I move on, assuming that someone else will give an answer sooner or later. I'm pretty sure most people do the same.

How would it be if you got 400 responses all saying "I don't know?" I actually made a post once that never got a response at all. Ever. It's still out there.

Okay, thank you for your responses to my worried inquiry.

By the way the posted method from Darkfish worked.

Thank you DF.
