Default Too close of the hit = flooding?

Hmm, I'm noticed that if You too close of hitting target by torpedo ( for example 1,5k Yd) I recived always flooding (6.th mission in Skipjack).

What is it? The pressure?

What do you mean? What is happening here? Are you saying hitting someone else who is 1.5kyds away causes flooding on your boat?

Exactly. I noticed it twice (below 1.5, 1.2 kYD) when I attacked surface ships and I was near surface (100 ft).
No any other damage, just flooding. No depth charges so I don't know what happened. Maybe a bug?
