Beautiful pictures from the game other forum you mentioned! The one above is from the user @Kotori87 from the gamesquad forum, hope it's not a problem posting it here.
Not a problem at all. I'm sure he'd be thrilled to know you did it. The AAR topic also usually has some good screenshots in it, too, that folks use to illustrate their battles.

BTW, you can see a light, local rain squall in this pic. That's what's making all the little white dots. You sometimes get little brief showers like this even with the sky fairly clear.

The games log output on the picture here above seems more than i get from the game - strange, i'll have a look again.
All that text in the upper left is controlled with the N hotkey, which cycles between 3 settings. The text always occupies the same amount of screen area, but 1 setting uses small fonts so you can see more lines at once. Kotori here is using the large font size, so you don't see as many lines at once. The 3rd setting turns it off completely. But everybody sees the same stuff there if they've got it turned on either way.

Here is the most horrible seastate you are going to see in the game as it currently is (At least, I'm pretty sure)

Excuse my shameless cropping of the bottom of the picture, my friend decided to send me a message on Xfire at that exact moment and I'm too inherently lazy to go and take it again

That's a rough night there, Raptor. Was that scenario you made?

In the scenario editor, you can set the wind speed up to at least 150 knots, maybe 200, I forget which. And you can even do that during a regular battle, via CTRL-F9, if you're bored with the current conditions .

BTW, you can play with the settings for wave size and shape. The wave shapes tend to look best for a some subset of the full range of wind speeds, though. IOW, wave settings that look good at normally encountered sea states often look too choppy under extreme conditions, and if you set the waves for the extreme, normal weather tends to be a bit flat.

Ya, this is made with the scenario editor, though I am considering making an actual scenario with these or similar conditions...could be fun

I think the wind only went up to 120 knots when I did this

BH, you mentioned that you can shoot at the shore guns even though they are tough to hit.
My question is: If by some fluke you do hit them, is it possible to knock them out? I've never seen it happen, just curious.

Edit: Thanks.

Yup, it's possible to damage or destroy them just like guns on ships. And eventually they get repaired.

Default Ride of the old girls

I`ve sent out the old pre-dreads to disrupt the constant shelling of Flanders from the British Monitors.

Approaching through the night

The next morning

Detaching 2 DDs for investigating smoke on the horizon. It was a steamer transporting contraband, so it was seized.

RECON from Zeppelins reported Monitors NE of Zeebrügge. The TF began giving chase. Late in the afternoon, visual contact was made. As the escorts of the Monitors had obviously ran away, the escorting CLs and DDs were ordered out of harms way.

At dawn, one of the Monitors is getting hit and falling back. The end was quick and bloody.

As the old gals were very exposed to the risk of faster and overwhelming forces, it was decided not to chase the other Monitors at all costs but to retreat. All ships came BTB unharmed.

`night

Good job with that battle against the monitors. Whenever I try to attack the Brit channel forces it does NOT go smoothly...
