Type IX U-boat Conning Tower Designs

Hello all.

I have been looking for information online about conning tower designs for the Type IX U-boats. I found a lot of information about the designs of the workhouse Type VII's but not much about the Type IX variants and their history. Is this because the conning towers used on both models of submarine were largely identical or did the larger submarine's have their own unique variants over the course of WWII?
