Default CFS3 Question

This is a simple graphics question. Is this really the Virtual Cockpit view? And if not, how do I get to the VC view? I expected the VC view to look a bit more "realistic:"

And because you took the time to look at my thread -- some eye candy shots :

My lovely B-26 flying into combat on a failed torpedo attack on a convoy in the English Channel. Shes just started taking damage from heavy flack:

Intensely heavy ack-ack. You can see my poor B-26 in the middle of that mess if you look closely:

And the result :

PS: Does anyone know how to toggle the radar in the upper left hand side of the screen so my pics can look "cleaner?"

Thanks

man, just stay away from them flaks !
that poor B-26!

I remember the day I flew too low over a Factory....I didnt had a clue that in england it was armed to the teeth my poor JU88 crashed 500 meters futher away.

in-game: if you press F2 you get a menu with all the assigned keys (game will be Paused when pressing that button)

Yes, but the problem is: the virtual cockpit view doesn't have a key assigned and -- it won't let me assign one! I really want the realistic looking cockpit as opposed to that cartoony thing you see at the top of the screen.

Btw, Hunter that sucks... how did you manage to not know you were in England? hahaha

I knew I was flying over England...it's a strange feeling that there is a chance you get those spits taking off and chase you...we got intercepted twice already..and lost one JU88 and 1 escort while we where at it.
then we got close to the Factory and it was quiet till we came close and at the sudden we where surrounded by flak. I think I still got a picture of that I will post it as soon as I'm home.

but about virtual cockpit...if its not mentioned in the key assignments...maybe google will help you out?

I'm afraid that you can either have the VC off or on, off means that there's nothing there at all.

You could try downloading some aircraft from Avhistory, some of they're VC's are quite good.

You have to remember that CFS3 is an old game nowadays.

Might be old, but there is a lot to modify thanks to the SDK's they released .
there are a lot of things to download from certain pages

like this one : http://www.combatfs.com/index.php?loc=pages&page=about

Very true.
Perhaps we should do a list of links for CFS3 downloads etc?
