Kim Rønhof made a program called the 'Torpedo Change Tool' that eventually turned into a Swiss Army knife for SHCE, SH v.1.31

Not only can you change your torpedo loadout but it performs the same functions that Hawks SHReal does and even more. With it you can do everything that all of Hawks Utilities do.

I'll upload it again. Someone deleted it last time but I do have permission from Kim to upload it, plus he would be happy to see it used. We used it in the Silent Hunter I Pacific Thunder Campaign (not the off road mudding group : )

From the manual:

This Tool lets you change data in the SH data files. It’s fairly simple to use, just follow the numbers – press buttons and choose
“things” by the number (start with 1 !).

You can change the following data :

The Patrol area.
The Submarine type and name.
The Salmon/Sargo submarine specifications. Warning see note on use !!
The Narwhal/Argonaut fix Warning see note on use !!
The S-boat fix Warning see note on use !!
The gun position (for or aft) – but only on fleet submarines.
The crew experience level.
The Fog setting.
The torpedo load (type of torpedoes, and distribution into tubes and racks)
You can reload fuel and ammo for the gun.
The departure date.
You can change the tonnage, length, beam and draft of the 9 Maru types.

But not all can be done a once, it depends on your patrol status (harbor or on patrol).

Technical stuff :
When the program is started, it reads your roster files (That’s where SH saves your careers). The program changes your roster files in SH.
NO Backup of the roster files are made. And the program changes the Subs.dat file (Gun position + Salmon/Sargo fix) NO backup of the Subs.dat file is made.

NOTE 1 : you can’t take any more torpedoes than the boat can carry, and you can’t input mark14 and 18’s into S, Barracuda and Narwhal type submarines.

NOTE 2: the program reads the Career date, and only lets you choose Subs, Torpedoes and patrol areas that are available at that date.

NOTE 3: You can’t change equipment (radar, bathythermograph). The program only specifies the types the Sub has (In that career file) at the given time.

BTW, Thanks for all your help! I truly appreciate all you have done to get me back under water. LOL!

FYI, I have SH all doctored up and it's working fine. I just came off my 5th war patrol with 240,000 tons sunk including an escort carrier. This is great therapy as I recently lost my best buddy (dog) of 10 years, Wallace, who was hit by a car. I need the diversion.

Now all I need to do is find the 3rd Patrol Disc.

Regarding disk 3, can you use these? They will bring an install up to 1.3, and then 1.3 to 1.31:

First to 1.3:

Next, to 1.31:
Upgrades version 1.3 to 1.31. If you have the original SH1 you need to install patch 1.3 first

1.31 should include all the PZ's and is the same as SHCE, right?

BTW, I do know the pain of losing a good pet and close friend - we do see our pets as good buddy's, I do.

If you have 15 Patrol Zones you're good:

Aleutian Islands
Caroline islands
Formosa
Indochina
Java Sea
Malaysia
Northern Japan
Northern Mariana Islands
Palau Islands
Philippine Sea
Solomon Islands
South China Sea
Southern Japan
Sulu Sea
Yellow Sea
