Default Escaping Escorts (SH2)

Just reinstalled SH2... and getting acquainted with the game again after many years.

I don't remember the escorts being as successful or accurate with their search and destroy. That's all fine though...

I have been mainly doing hit and runs at night... exiting on the surface at flank speed.

I also forgot how shallow the waters are around the UK so anytime I have chosen to dive and go silent... I am found and sunk... even with 1 or 2 escorts more than 9 nautical miles away from the action.

Any tips or tricks to survive when forced under?

WHEN ATTACKING ON THE WESTERN APPROACHES MARK THE MAP SHADES INDICATING DEEP WATER. MONITOR MAIN TRAFFIC ROUTES NORTH OF IRELAND BUT STAY JUST OFF THE WEST EDGE CONTINENTAL SHELF WHERE THE BOTTOM IS LIMITLESS. BOTH INBOUND AND OUT BOUND CONVOYS PASS THROUGH THERE. NEVER BE IN LESS THAN 100 METERS.
