The EU Commissioner for Home Affairs says states should reopen internal borders by end of June.
Ylva Johansson made the comments before a meeting of national ministers on Friday. Some EU states have reopened some borders, but others remain closed. In England, masks will be compulsory on public transport from 15 June. Article that said hydroxychloroquine increases risk of death in coronavirus patients is withdrawn. Peru declares oxygen a 'strategic resource' - meaning hospitals get priority on supplies. Basketball teams in the NBA vote to resume matches on 31 July in Disneyworld, Florida. Globally, there have been 6.6m cases since the outbreak began and 388,000 deaths.

Drug company AstraZeneca is starting production of a potential vaccine for coronavirus even before trials have proven to be successful.
Face coverings will be handed out for free at a selection of Tube and bus stations from Monday, following the announcement they will become compulsory on public transport in England. The Irish government is expected to approve the second phase of a roadmap for exiting the lockdown. It would allow some workplaces and small shops to reopen; extend the distance restriction on exercise from 5km to 20km; and let people visit the homes of those isolating, but with social distancing. The world-famous Vienna Philharmonic is to give its first post-lockdown concert - Beethoven’s 5th Symphony - at Vienna’s Musikverein concert hall. It has capacity for 2,000 people, but under social distancing rules only 100 people can attend. IAG - the parent company of British Airways - says it's thinking about launching a legal challenge against the UK government over a new rule that will require incoming travellers to quarantine for 14 days. Willie Walsh, chief executive of IAG, told Sky News earlier that the "irrational" rule would "torpedo" the airline's chances of flying in July, and said there had been no consultation with the industry before the legislation was announced. Carmaker Bentley says it's going to cut up to 1,000 jobs under a "voluntary release system", and that it can't rule out future compulsory redundancies. Clothes retailer Gap has reported a loss close to $1bn (£792m) because of store closures due to the coronavirus. The company was $932m in the red for the three months to May - while during the same period last year it made a profit of $227m.

Okay. Better late than never. Really...? Well, maybe not if being late is the system by which somebody plays constantly, making him being late every time. All the time. Always. Honestly said in all this virus story I cannot recall a single information they gave or a single action of theirs or a single role they played or a single suggestion they made, that was not useless, late, pointless, or even simply wrong. Such a WHO I have no use for. Havce they achieved, contributed anything useful so far? All studies that I got aware of in media who confirmed something or found something of constructive value, would have gotten there without a WHO as well, sicne they started their work without the WHO anyway. And when they presneted their findings, the wHo often ignored or delayed it. By tendency, I would voice the same criticism about the Germ,an Robert Koch Institute. Things went well in Germany so far - but I feel not due to the RKI, but despite the RKI. I am princirpally cirtical of multi-naitonal big bureaucratruic mionster organisaiton loike the UN and here the WHO. And the WHO once again confirmed my scepticism. Their nifnakmoius role of naively hoping to get China playing ball by praising them although knowing they were lying, also does not score to the WHO's account. They even took over 6 weeks to realise and anounce that the by definition already running pandemic was de facto a pandemic.

After caging the animals of all shades (including white) for too many months, one could argue that those are covid-19 deaths as well. Maybe we just need to follow that Purge movie and make all crime legal one night a year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Purge_(2013_film)

The number of people confirmed to have died of coronavirus globally has passed 400,000 - Johns Hopkins.
Big anti-racism rallies have taken place around the world despite warnings about the spread of the virus. Health Secretary for England Matt Hancock says protests risk spreading the virus. As many as 60 million people could be pushed into "extreme poverty" by Covid-19, the World Bank warns. Brazil has removed months of virus data from a government website amid criticism over its handling of the outbreak. A far-right rally in Rome against the Italian government's response to the pandemic has turned violent. The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, has vetoed emergency coronavirus legislation that would have seen the easing of restrictions and a gradual reopening of the country's economy. US Republican Senator Rick Scott has accused China of trying to "sabotage" the development of a coronavirus vaccine. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro's has been criticised repeatedly for his response to the coronavirus pandemic - from opposing lockdown measures to attending rallies without a face covering. Brazil has more than 670,000 confirmed infections, but the number is believed to be much higher because of insufficient testing. Almost 36,000 people have died - the third-highest toll in the world, after the US and UK. Russia has reported 8,984 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 467,673.

Indeed... Ultraviolet Irradiation of Blood: “The Cure That Time Forgot”? -- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6122858/ ...and a layman-friendly explanation of why "cures" or "treatments" such as internal UV applications and/or the use of cleansers such as bleach are very much bad ideas... Here's What Disinfectants and UV Light Really Do to Your Body -- There’s a reason why cleaners for external surfaces are not meant for your innards. They’re indiscriminate killers, not medicine. https://www.wired.com/story/heres-wh...-to-your-body/ A good question to ask would be: "If you were faced with the choice of the possibility of being possibly maimed or killed by a disease or of the possibility of being possibly maimed or killed by a cure/treatment for that disease and neither of the two choices have fully known conditions/natures that would result in a predictive assurance, what would be you choice..."... <O>

It will of course start in third world countries and take awhile before it gets to ours .... The oil producing countries will have to put up some big bucks to feed the poor, of which the USA is a big oil producing country until we have to care about our own first. You don't have enough room in you bunkers to be ready just be forewarned
