Shhhh....I'm hunting Alfas
Enjoying the heck out of this game and wondering what everyone's opinion of the most dangerous/difficult foe is?
For me I have the most trouble with the Alfas which might not be necessarily dangerous, but sure are hard to get a bead on especially in the slow Narwhal that I prefer. I can hear them from miles away but damn if they don't kick it into Warp speed when I launch, invariably outrunning or outmaneuvering my torps. DoD was not happy my last mission expended 6 MK48s on a single Alfa.

I'd say a pair of Udaloys in shallow waters.
Especially in bad weather where you can't detect them from far away. |

Victor II's in 1968. They can out run your only ASW weapon, and they have better sonar if you're in a Skipjack. Oh and their torpedo's can run you down.
