Default SH5, seven years on....

I am looking to buy a Silent Hunter game and I am split between SH5 and 3, so I was wondering after 7 years of community support if SH5 is better than SH3?

Hi Peelio
thanks to the work of many modders SH5 has improved a lot especially with TWoS we have a mod really immersive
say it is better or worse than sh3 is wrong ... they are 2 different things ...personally I do not like the dynamic campaign system and as well on Uplay I do not love.. .. I personally have them both ...and play with SH3 again... and Now waiting New Wac5 ..i think play again many time
but this is just my opinion

My all time personal favorite was SH3 with GWX gold with SH3 Commander.

But since I have since bought a new computer that runs win 10, and my disk of SH3 is a 2004 original SH3 disk, that is no longer an option.

SH4 (TMO 2.5) runs on win 10, good!

SH5 has been an outlet.

I like it. Have played it many, many times and I'll probably continue on playing it.

These 3 SH versions all have active modders continuing to develop their games, and all 3 can be highly recommended.

SH5 has advanced the most with The Wolves Of Steel (TWOS) mega mod and is completely stable containing over 100 mods.
Its previous poor reputation is no longer justified with TWOS.

Just for the sake of argument, and because I might be wrong (Lord knows I have been before), I will follow your instructions to the letter, and see if I can get SH3 to run on my computer. I love the Grey Wolves Gold edition.

Hi Sandman
If you have concerns open a discussion about SH3 forum... but follow the advice of bl!tzkr!eg ... you will be able to play with SH3

Like I said, I tried previously, it wouldn't work, but just in case I was wrong, I'll try again following his instructions.

What have I got to lose? A few minutes.

If you like hardcore sub sim and if you modd it properly than it's definitely better...

If you just want to play "stock" , then you should definitely go for SH3/4...
